CITI Human Subject Protection Access Instructions

Navigating CITI in order to complete Human Subjects Protection (Biomedical or Social and Behavioral) requirements

• log on to http://go.osu.edu/citi with your Ohio State Username (lastname.#) and Password
• from the My Courses page, click on Ohio State University – View Courses
• select Add a Course from the menu
• for Question 1, scroll down and choose the Human Subjects Protection [HSP] (Biomedical) or Human Subjects Protection [HSP] (Social and Behavioral) course
  • to receive maximal benefit, you should choose the track most closely related to the research in which you are involved
• for Question 2, leave it blank as this is for the RCR course only
• click Submit to add the course(s)

The Human Subjects Protection (Biomedical or Social and Behavioral) courses are different from the Responsible Conduct of Research (RCR) course. 

Course completion will be registered electronically with the university. You may also find this information under My Profile.
