Huron IRB - Using Global Search

Search helps you quickly find information across your entire system, including projects, documents, and site content. Results appear in a new window, showing only items you have permission to access, with most relevant matches displayed first.

Search Filters

After your initial search, narrow results by type:

Project Search

Find research items like funding proposals, studies, protocols, agreements, and disclosures
Search by name, ID, description, and other project properties
Results show matches from project data only

Document Search

Locate uploaded files across the system
Searches both document details (name, description) and file contents
Click links in results to open documents directly

Page Search

Find content pages like Help Center, Reports, and Meetings
Excludes dashboards and project workspaces
Focuses on supporting information pages

How to Search

Click IRB in the top navigation
Enter your search terms using these operators:
- And to find all specified words
- Or to find any specified words
- Not to exclude words (cannot be first)
- "Quotation marks" for exact phrases
Press Enter or click the search icon
Use the Search For dropdown to apply filters

Note: Recently added content may not appear immediately in search results as the system updates periodically.
